CHIANGMAI ADVENTURE

One Day Trip for Elephant Observation, Trekking & Bamboo Raft

A full day of elephants, trekking, waterfalls, and bamboo rafting in Northern Thailand

About This Tour

Spend a full day at Chiang Mai Elephant Land and the surrounding hills, combining elephant observation, scenic trekking, a refreshing waterfall stop, and an adventurous bamboo rafting experience. This tour is perfect for those who want a complete Northern Thailand nature and culture experience.

Your adventure begins with hotel pickup at 06:30–07:00, followed by a 40-minute drive to a local market for a short break. Then, travel one hour through open countryside, lush jungle, rice fields, and farmland, passing the edges of the Inthanon mountain range. Stop at a Karen Hill Tribe Village, transfer to a pickup truck, and continue a short drive to the elephant camp.

Upon arrival, change into traditional Karen clothing and enjoy an introductory talk about elephant behavior, habitat, and history. Feed bananas and grass to the rescued elephants and spend quality time with them.

Accompany the elephants on a 30-minute walk with their mahouts through forest trails, often on steep terrain, and enjoy views of terraced rice paddies and the surrounding hill tribe scenery. Take a short walk to a beautiful waterfall to cool off in the refreshing mountain spring water and change clothes as needed.

Return to the elephant camp for a nutritious lunch with fresh fruit. After saying goodbye to the elephants, trek for about one hour to a local village, then take a short drive to the bamboo rafting camp. Enjoy an adventurous ride on simple bamboo rafts along the Mae Wang River for about 40 minutes, taking in the stunning scenery.

Finally, drive back to your hotel in Chiang Mai, completing a memorable day of nature, elephants, and local culture.
